Amino acids
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. They are classified into two groups, Essential (cannot be synthesized rapidly enough to meet the organism’s nutritional requirements) and non-essential (synthesized in the body).
Amino acids have various functions such as:
- Their use in the diet reduces nitrogen loss which leads to the reduction of ammonia excretion.
- Improved feed conversion efficiency.
- Additional amino acid supplementation supports butyric acid and other short chain fatty acid production
- Supporting growth, development and immunity
